Director
Dr. Laura Drislane (she/her), Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). She joined the faculty at Ole Miss in 2023 after serving as a faculty member at Sam Houston State University from 2019-2023. Dr. Drislane completed her Bachelor’s degree with double majors in Psychology and Gender Studies at Northwestern University. She then went on to complete her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at Florida State University under the mentorship of Dr. Chris Patrick. Dr. Drislane completed her pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center and then went on to complete a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Drislane is a licensed clinical psychologist and she is trained in empirically supported assessments and interventions for adults, with specialized expertise in personality assessment and the treatment of personality disorders, substance use disorders, trauma, and suicidal behavior. Dr. Drislane has written extensively on psychopathy and dimensional models of psychopathology, with a particular focus on the triarchic model of psychopathy. Broadly speaking, her research focuses on the measurement of impulse-control ("externalizing") problems and identifying etiological mechanisms contributing to such problems using a multiple levels of analysis approach.
Outside of work, Dr. Drislane enjoys making pottery, going to art museums, watching independent films, and spending time with her dog, Ollie.

Graduate Students
Rebekah Brown Spivey (she/her) is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2020 with a B.S. in Psychology (minor in Neuroscience) and a B.A. in Criminal Justice, and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2022. Her research interests include biological factors contributing to psychopathy and externalizing behaviors (antisocial behavior, aggression, impulsivity, etc.), dimensional models of personality, psychophysiology, and conceptualization/assessment of psychopathy. In her free time, Rebekah enjoys cooking, reading, binge-watching tv and movies, traveling with her husband, and playing with her puppy, Fiona.
Brianna Davis (she/her) is a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in psychology and criminology. After graduation, Brianna worked as a case manager for children and families in the dependency system and as a post-baccalaureate research assistant in Dr. Edelyn Verona's Disinhibition and Affective Regulation Clinical (DARC) Laboratory at the University of South Florida. She graduated with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University in 2023. Broadly speaking, her research interests are in psychopathy and psychopathic traits. More specifically, how violence, trauma, psychopathy, and minority status may intersect among individuals involved in the criminal justice system. In her free time, Brianna likes to listen to true crime podcasts, cook, go to the gym, and watch Tik Tok.

Ky Bray (he/him) is a second-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Mississippi. In 2022, he graduated from Ball State University with a M.A. in Clinical Psychology and an M.S. in Quantitative Psychology. His research interests lie broadly in the assessment of externalizing psychopathology with specific emphasis on antagonistic spectra and psychopathic traits. His other interests include environmental precipitants and interpersonal consequences of these traits. When not at school, Ky enjoys playing golf, watching old Westerns, and discovering good restaurants.
Sierra Molina (she/her) is a first-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Mississippi. In 2023, she graduated from the University of Mississippi with an M.A. in Criminal Justice. Prior to that, she had completed her BA in Criminology at the University of Florida. Broadly, her research interests include psychology in correctional settings and the relationship between storytelling and psychological well-being. More specifically, how personal stories can be used to study trauma and behavior in underrepresented groups. In her free time, Sierra enjoys being outdoors, listening to live music, and watching Miami Heat games.
Lab Alumni
Gabriele Trupp(she/her), PhD received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from SHSU in 2022. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Virginia. Dr. Trupp completed her internship at Patton State Hospital in California. Her research interests include forensic assessment, use of empathy within forensic work, and psychopathy assessment. Her clinical interests include forensic assessment and work within forensic populations, particularly adults and individuals convicted of a sex offense.
